Pupil Premium payments are allocated to local authorities and schools with pupils that are known to have been eligible for free school meals (FSM) at any time in the last six years. The money must be used to ensure a child’s progress at school meets nationally set targets. This particular funding is not targeted at children with special needs and requirements.

Our school has the freedom to spend the Pupil Premium, which is additional to the school’s budget, in a way we think will best address inequalities, tackle disadvantage and support the raising of attainment for our pupils. We assure parents the use of this special fund is treated with discretion and in confidence. We are also very careful to ensure that eligible children are not singled out nor seen to be ‘different’.
