Church News

We are part of the Benefice of Buckrose Carrs which contains nine churches in villages along the A-64 in North Yorkshire between Malton and Scarborough. Our home church is St Hilda's in Sherburn.  Revd. Joe Kinsella is our incumbent and regularly leads worship in our school.  Lay preacher Mrs Barbara Grice leads worship every fortnight.  We are also supported by Sherburn Methodist Chapel weekly in worship.

Spiritual Garden

Thank you to all the local businesses who supported the creation of our garden. Without your kind and very generous donations this reflective area of space in school would not have been possible.

Other News

Our children have been supporting the Buckrose Community Café this term.

For Harvest Festival celebration we donated food items to the Ryedale Foodbank.

We also worked with our local churches on the Operation Christmas Child Samaritan's Purse Project. Children donated gifts for children less fortunate than themselves.

Our Christian Values

Summer term 1

Creativity

Seen from a Christian perspective all of life is a gift, entrusted by a loving creator God to humankind for a purpose. Each person learns to value and explore, celebrate and enjoy this world in all its mystery and diversity. With this gift comes a mutual responsibility to ensure that the creation is not spoiled but rather sustained and shared by all.

Pentecost

The church celebrates Pentecost on the 50th day after Easter. It commemorates the gift of the Holy spirit to the apostles and marks the birthday of the church.
