Church News

We are part of the Benefice of Buckrose Carrs which contains nine churches in villages along the A-64 in North Yorkshire between Malton and Scarborough. Our home church is St Hilda's in Sherburn.  Revd. Joe Kinsella is our incumbent and regularly leads worship in our school.  Lay preacher Mrs Barbara Grice leads worship every fortnight.  We are also supported by Sherburn Methodist Chapel weekly in worship.

Spiritual Garden

Thank you to all the local businesses who supported the creation of our garden. Without your kind and very generous donations this reflective area of space in school would not have been possible.

Other News

Our children have been supporting the Buckrose Community Café this term.

For Harvest Festival celebration we donated food items to the Ryedale Foodbank.

We also worked with our local churches on the Operation Christmas Child Samaritan's Purse Project. Children donated gifts for children less fortunate than themselves.

Our Christian Values

Autumn term 2

Christians believe that truth is revealed in the Bible and in the person and life of Jesus. Through his teachings we are given an insight into the nature of God and the way in which He means us to live.

The festival of advent, which takes place on the four Sundays before Christmas day is the time of waiting for Jesus' coming. Christmas is celebrated by the Anglican Church as the day of Jesus Christ's Birth. The meaning of the five candles in the Advent ring is relative to the four Sundays of Advent and Christmas day.
